James Jackson is the BBC’s Programme Director for the launch of Freeview HD. As the operator of the first terrestrial multiplex in the UK to be converted to DVB-T2, the BBC is responsible for co-ordinating the introduction Freeview HD.

Working within the BBC’s distribution department, James has considerable experience of leading technology and commercial projects. Over his career, James has developed many aspects of the BBC’s broadcast and technology infrastructure. Previous roles have included the negotiation and management of high value and complex contracts for the provision of television and radio transmission services, broadcast technology functions and data network services.
